I know I said I wouldn’t be back until Thursday, but I remembered that I could schedule a post in advance & as I have a card to show you that is relevant to today, I’m creating this post on Tuesday night.
When I was asked to make a Day of the Dead card my first thought was “OMG!” I had no clue what to do, or whether or not I had anything that was relevant in my crafting stash. I had a vague idea what the day is about, so I did some research on the Internet & some serious searching through the small mountain that is my stash. I quickly decided that skulls & skeletons were required & apart from a piece of paper I had nothing suitable. Until a quick trip into town & a visit to Claire’s Accessories, where I found a pair of skeleton earrings – result!
After that, the card came together fairly quickly. The white shaped card is from Craftwork Cards, with black card & pink/purple mirri card matted & layered on top. I attached the skeleton onto the flowers with a card, added the ribbons & attached the ‘L’ – cut from the Sizzix Broadway alphabet set – with an Ideology memory pin.
Love & light.
